Terms of use
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Naro is run by Huri Sosa Corro, in Mexico (“we”, “us”). These terms cover your use of the Naro app for Mac and your Naro account. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Naro.
1. What Naro does
Naro records your meetings on your Mac, transcribes them on your Mac, and turns them into notes, summaries and to-dos. Depending on your plan, summaries are written on your Mac or in the cloud. Our privacy policy explains what leaves your Mac.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent to your email.
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
- One account is for one person. Don’t share it.
- You’re responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
3. Recording other people
Naro doesn’t join your calls as a bot, so letting people know you’re recording is up to you. Always tell everyone on the call, and get their consent where the law requires it. Recording laws change by country and state, and you’re responsible for following the ones that apply to you.
4. Plans and the free trial
- Basic is free. Summaries are written on your Mac.
- Pro adds full cloud summaries, follow-up emails, questions about a project’s meetings, and the context behind each to-do. Prices are on our pricing page.
- Free trial: you can try Pro free for 14 days, once per person. No card needed. When it ends, you move to Basic and keep your meetings, summaries and to-dos. You’re never charged unless you choose to pay.
- We may change plans and prices. If the price you pay goes up, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before, and it applies from your next renewal.
5. Fair use of “unlimited”
Pro has no meeting limit for normal use: one person’s own meetings, even many a day. To keep it that way for everyone, Pro isn’t meant for:
- sharing one account between several people;
- processing audio or text that isn’t from your own meetings, like bulk files, podcasts or other people’s recordings;
- automated or scripted use, or reselling the service.
If an account’s use is far above what one person normally does, we’ll contact you first. If it continues, we may limit cloud summaries for that account. Summaries on your Mac keep working.
6. Payments, renewals and refunds
- Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles billing, taxes, invoices and returns, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Paid plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Basic.
- Not happy? Ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment, or of a yearly renewal, and you’ll get it in full. Monthly renewals aren’t refunded; cancel any time to stop the next one.
7. Your content
Your recordings, transcripts, notes and summaries are yours. We don’t claim any rights to them and only process them to give you the service, as our privacy policy explains. We never use them to train AI.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t use Naro to break the law, record people without the consent the law requires, harm others, or attack, copy or reverse engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
9. AI can make mistakes
Transcripts, speakers, summaries and to-dos are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important against the transcript before relying on it.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep Naro running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or remove features. If we ever shut Naro down, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund any time you paid for and didn’t use. Your meetings stay on your Mac either way.
11. Disclaimer and limit of liability
Naro is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
12. Closing your account
You can stop using Naro at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, warning you first when we reasonably can.
13. Changes to these terms
If we make important changes, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they apply. Using Naro after that means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without taking away the consumer protections of the country where you live.
